Job Vacancy - Content Creator & Design Assistant

Checks is a fast–growing clothing label based out of our Pitt Street flagship store and studio in Tāmaki Makaurau. Positioned as a leader within the New Zealand fashion sector, the brand continues on its path to challenge what is expected. Founded in 2017 the brand has reached an exciting chapter, having established in the local market, and growth opportunities on the international stage continue to materialise. Including showing the brand at Paris Fashion Week on a bi-annual basis and securing major stockists such as END Clothing in Europe and Nordstrom in the US. The opportunity to join the company at such a pivotal moment gives someone special a chance to be a key contributor to the business's ongoing success.

The advertised position is a rare opportunity to work in-house for a clothing label at the forefront of the market in a digital design capacity. It is a full-time position located at our Pitt Street studio, which sits above the retail store, working closely with the Principal and founder. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and carrying out the photographic and graphic design assets for our website and social media, along with seasonal campaigns and crafting the digital identity for Checks. Further to this, the Checks brand is now distributed via wholesale both locally and internationally with growing collections and global stockists, a large chunk of the role involves assisting the founder in designing the seasonal collections. Tasks include conceptualising, CAD mockups, and developing tech packs to communicate the design and assembly to the factory. We are looking for someone to join our small team that can become a critical asset and a team player that fits in well within our tight-knit crew. This is an opportunity to provide real input to this expanding label.
